Does anyone else think the term "pick up artist" is lame?

Barney Stinson.
I once (during my extreme peacocking phase), wore a suit to the club, and had a girl go, "It's a real life Barney Stinson!"

She was cute.

I didn't capitalize on that good fortune.

Tragic.

I think it's lame!

What I call a PUA is not someone who knows how to talk to women - there are already countless men who do, and who never heard about PU in the first place. A PUA is generally some nerd (like myself back in the days) who didn't learn this stuff the natural way as a teenager. A PUA is just a beginner, a noob. As you gain more experience you realize that people backs away as soon as they hear something that reminds them of a player, since it's a word with a negative connotation.

A PUA is also someone who does his best to reach a goal, a certain outcome. He try to pick girls up. As soon as you do that, no matter how good you are at hiding it, you have an agenda, and it's all derived from you sexual urge and needs, making you look like a pathetic try-hard. On the other hand, as soon as you become truly outcome independent (and successful), you stop trying and don't even think in terms of pickup, and thus you are not a PUA.

I'm a cumshot artiste.

I make classy, thought-provoking patterns of jizz on the nude bodies of sexy women.

Anyway.. The point of this thread is to see if we can come up with anything better than "pick up artists".
The thing about this term is that any other time you hear the term "artist" applied to something you do towards people, it's negative, the obvious one being "con artist". On the TV show the Wire I heard the term "stick up artist" used.

By contrast, when you manipulate THINGS (music, paints, whatever) this is praiseworthy.

The long story short is that you shouldn't need to give yourself any title.

Titles like "PUA" and the even more egregious, "mPUA", are nothing more than titles keyboard jockeys typically give themselves. Or people trying to sell you something.

You're not entering a magical secret society, even though it might feel like it (and trust me, the experience is fucking fantastic when you suddenly start seeing amazing gains). You're just learning to fuck/flirt with women.

The true secret of becoming an, "mPUA" is that you don't need a term or a title for yourself. You're satisfied with your progress, you're truly abundant, and you know you can fuck girls without too much trouble or difficulty.

It's sorta Zen, honestly. The secret to being an "mPUA" is not needing to be an "mPUA".

I tell people that I like giving nerds advice on how to attract the opposite sex.
