So I used to be much more into this. I went through a really shitty breakup and it took me wayy too long to get back into it. Anyways, I have made two serious approaches since September. First one went well, slept with her and hung out for a few months. The spark ended up dying out. A couple of nights ago I worked up the courage (some help from a buddy) and I got this smoking hot girls number. I started texting her today and this is how it went (I'm actually pleasantly surprised)
Me: Hey not so smooth (her name)! How was the rest of your Friday night? (I was teasing her when I met her about her lack of smoothness)
Her (a couple of hours later): Hey, haha, I dunno what you're talking about. I'm sooo smooth
Me (a couple of hours later): Haha just a regular player hey? That must be how you got my number.
Me (genuinely a text for another friend): BTW show sarts at 1 I thinl *think
Her (like 5 minutes later): Oh yeah definitely, could you tell...haha. How's it going? What are you up to this long weekend
Me:Hey sorry that last message was actually meant for a buddy haha. God I suck at phones , Well anyways Dylan **not part of message: my wingman for the night(also got her sister's number **** is playing a show at ______ tonight so I'm going to go check that out. How about yourself?
Her: Haha no worries, I didn't even notice it. Oh cool, nothing to exciting, going out for pizza mm mm
Me: Gotta love pizza! If you find yourself bored after pizza you are welcome to come to by the show. I swear that wasn't planned aha...though I kind of like the way it worked out.
Her: Haha yeah, I'll keep that in mind


So my thoughts, that was a little lower value text then I was initially receiving (I think?). However, I don't think it's a game over or anything. I haven't responded yet because at this point I'm completely clueless as to what to say. I hope I didn't come off as too eager by inviting her out so soon, I thought since she was asking what I was doing she was perhaps interested. Any thoughts?

There's no response needed. Just wait until she texts you asking for directions or whatever.

If she doesn't show up just ask her to hang out in a couple of weeks all while meeting other women

I recently got out of a relationship a month ago. Hooking up takes some time, be patient.

Her: Your friends band,what kinda music do they play?
Me: They are pretty mellow country/folk. Though they are more so the background music for the night I think. Ever been to this place?
Her: No I haven't, I've kind of always wanted to though, I hear they serve breakfast all day
Me: Breakfast all day?? Neither have I acutally, but I'm even more excited now
Her:Right? Breakfast is the best meal! If you get it you gotta let me know how it is, craft has brunch of the weekends, but it was a major disappointment.

I feel like my pick up on IOI's is so out of touch. Is this her hinting at breakfast? Oh well, I already asked her out once on the first day of texting haha. Think I'll leave it for a bit and then pick up again tomorrow or something haha.

She's not going out with you because her interest levels are low. She might be seeing another guy or is just really shy.
