I recently ran into an old friend of mine. Ive always had a thing for her bit we have always just been friends. I told her I was recently single. She told me she is too. When she was leaving she said to call her sometime and we can hangout. normally, I would know a girl was interested, but its a little different with this one. She doesnt know how hot she is and she is not important"the sharpest tool in the shed" we are going to hang out tonight. How can I escalate our friendship into something more? I dont want to tell her Ive always had a crush cause that would put the ball in her court. Im not sure if she just feels bad for me cause Im going through a difficult breakup or if she is interested. Any quick advice is appreciated! sorry if I posted thia in the wrong place also.

As she is an old friend though, I would say you should stay away from emotional connection shit, and get more into demonstrating your value, teasing her a bit and being brave with kino - hand on the lower back to push her towards the bar, holding her hand to lead her places etc etc. (that's just my opinion though)

Also, buy her a drink. I mean, make a show of it - she will probably say 'no, no, i'll get them' blah blah blah, say no and go macho. I know all the books say don't do it, but you wanna let her know that she is on a date with you? Buy her a drink, and if you're both sat there with empty glasses and she's looking around waiting for you to get her a drink - then waggle your glass in front of her and say 'your turn' with a big grin on your face Alternatively she may offer to buy you one, and you say no, no I'll get them, if she's a normal human female she will then insist - you give in and get your drink bought for you, whilst at the same time looking macho and like a perfect gentleman.

Move conversation onto relationships and sex quickly, get her thinking about it, with you. that with escalated kino, and a few drinks - i think you'll be good to make a move.

I thought about asking her: "So, what would you say if I ssk you to go on an actual date with me?" something along those lines. Do u think thats a bad idea?

I would say see how it goes - if the first 'not-really-a-date' date goes well (I.e you make out) you might not need to do that, but yeah. If you need to call her out do something like that, or ask her for 'another date' - hopefully though, you'll be in a situation to k-close on the first one, remember to keep escalating the touching and being physical, and by the end of the night it will be easier to make a move on her.
