How can I turn a friend in my college to a lover?
I always joke with her but there's no clear sign of interest from her.

Research the ladder theory.

You need to stop being her friend. Cut contact and return to her as a sexual being.

Transitioning is hard. But if she liked you in that way it wouldn't be to difficult.

You have to gain social proof. Get her friends to find you sexually attractive then turn up the sexual chemistry with her.

Basically the problem ultimately is you have no attraction, you need to solve that. Personally in my opinion you should just look for another girl. But it appears that you have trouble finding a girl high-value in your life so you cling onto this one. FYI - it will be hard if not impossible to get her.

I'd say keep her as a friend. Ask her to hook you up with her friends.
Also when you meet girls, make intentions clear at the start. Helps avoid the frienzone.
