After reading this I'm fairly certain my Father and brother are both gammas! So manipulative and a HUGE part of arguments are filled with misdirection, changing topics, unrelated accusations and blowing things out of proportion. It's a very tiring and I dare to say TOXIC type of person to deal with. I'm glad I haven't been around them much since moving out last year. Do you agree that these are some of the most miserable people in the world?

I agree, but the worst part is they are really good at putting on a mask that they are happy inside and your arguments don't get to them. They do.

Like i mentioned in the article, avoiding them is probably the best strategy.

Sad thing is there are more people in the PUA community (teachers and students) than you think that are gammas who often pretend to be an alpha or a beta who is somehow naturally better than you. Rather annoying. And they think the pickup knowledge is the intellectual edge that will let them own people. They are a sad bunch.

Agreed, big time. Believe me when I say I figured that out lol. I'm even considering as much as a legal name change to disassociate myself from a problematic mentality that is not mine. I consider interactions with my father as poison, like an infection from snake venom.

Crazy, yet not unbelievable by any means because this is the reason "good" PUA instructors don't like to teach the hypnosis techniques.

and the name change idea is a way to sort of reinvent myself and be as proud as possible of who I am and what truly defines me, rather than a shameful history of depression, alcoholism and hypocrisy.
