Hello everyone!

I guess it's pretty standard that one would search around for help on the interwebz when in need, but joining a forum seemed like a much better idea to do since I get a bunch of different views from different people.

To start off, I'm at the age of 20 and been living in the US for almost a year. I was born and raised in Sweden but decided to study abroad since it's been my dream since I could start talking. I haven't been into many relationships and the longest relationship I've been involved with lasted for about 2 months. It's safe for me to say that I haven't really gotten the chance to express 'love' to a girl as many other has.

Growing up in Sweden, I figured people from different countries use different methods in their "picking up" techniques but I've come to realize that girls are pretty similar in the end. I originally thought I would be meeting new kinds of girls thus perhaps having an easier time picking up girls when I moved to the US, but in the end I concluded that I might be doing something wrong, as opposed to "there are something wrong with these girls in this area."

To sum up my love life: I like them - they don't like me; they like me - I don't like them. It sure sounds like a naive way to see things but that's the best I can do. Most of the girls I chase after end up as a friend and vice versa. I've come to that point that I can only get the girls that I'd never truly wanted. After further over-analysis I happen to think that I tend to repel those I really do like. Perhaps it's because I've been trying too hard and those I've approached in a friendly manner has worked out well since that would mean that I would be more comfortable with the situation.

Since this was supposed to be an introduction, I have yet to spill out my current problem - but for now I'd just like to roam around this forum and explore its community.
