| Hi, I'm in a unique rut that goes like this. I was meeting an online seller to buy a sport-related product. As the sport in question seems to be rather male-dominated, I expected the seller to be a bloke. However, it turned out to be a rather attractive and cute HB8. Bonus points are scored. This is because she lives near my area and turns out she shares the same sporting interest as I.
Going to this transaction expecting a burly bloke or at least a jock turning up near my place of residence, I wasn't dressed as well as I would have liked, and I had a hard time adjusting to game-mode. Out of habit I did the 10 o'clock approach, and got to negging a little as well as faux disinterest, perhaps due to having the "seller is supposed to be a bloke" mindset hanging around in my subconscious.
However, my humor wasn't spot on and perhaps some neediness was displayed when I probed for common sporting interests, and she reciprocated by looking away momentarily while giving the affirmative, while saying she practices it at a location further down the road and away from my usual. Only 2 minor IOIs were given: first to give her name before mine after a little small talk and positive body language when I'm giving my lame shots at humor... but a cold IOD when it came to interests.
Fortunately, the transaction wasn't complete as she did not bring all the gear, and this translated to a time bridge for a 2nd meeting. I tried some "callback humor" and "role play" to tease on the message confirming the 2nd meeting, but all I got was an "ok thanks!". How bland.
Basically, I was caught unprepared and I want to dial it back up on the second meeting. Any ways to resolve this grand fiasco? I need to shed her impression of me being an AFC. My goal is to garner enough interest so that she'll agree to further meetings with me, perhaps even be a sports partner! Any help will be appreciated!
