Is it a bad idea to let a girl know that if it doesn't work out, I'm not gonna be her friend?

You don't have to say anything. If she doesn't want you... keep her on your phone. Don't get hung up over her. Here's the thing... If you have a good female friend you don't drool over, it opens you to more of her girlfriends. Keep that in mind.

1) Don't get hung up.
2) Keep contact with her whilst meeting other women

It is a bad idea. She will think that you are a frustrated guy.

Your attitude should be like: if it doesn't work out, that is ok. I have plenty of other girls to date. I am happy person, i will not be mad, or allow other people to influence my state of mind.
