Yo, what's good?

You can call me C. I tried to make that my username but it wasn't allowed. I'm cool with that. Anyway, let me tell you a bit about why I signed up.

Only a couple of nights ago I found myself slightly bored and went on Youtube and typed in the search words "how to get laid." Not surprisingly that yielded approximately 500,000 results. Eventually I came across a pretty useless video advertising "The Tao of Badass." Sound familiar to anyone? I got my hands on the book it advertised and didn't find that very useful either, so in my unquenched thirst to learn more about this topic, I turned to Google. I think I did a search for pickup artists and it led me to an article on howstuffworks. Immediately on the very first page it mentioned Neil Strauss and I went to look up more info on him. Now I'm about half through The Game and I'd like to try some of these techniques that I've learned about. The strategy I've used thus far, being Mr. Too Nice Guy, hasn't worked, so it's time for a change. Onwards to the suggested questions I am recommended to answer.

Currently I'm located in Sweden, where I was born (and yes, if you want to know, the women are indeed beautiful here), but I'm planning to move back to Ontario sometime later this year, perhaps to attend college in the fall.

I am twenty-four years old.

>how you got into "the game"

As already mentioned, The Game got me into the game.

>how long you've been studying and practicing pickup

I just came back from my first night out since I started learning about this stuff. I can tell you how it went later. This is the very beginning.

>which pickup method(s) you like to use

Don't think I'm much for direct openers. I'm pretty choosy about my negs. I like to come up with my own stuff. "Do you wear product in your hair?" (if yes, "Yeah, you might wanna use a little less," if no "You might wanna try it") "Do you ever wear heels?" (to a female of less than average height, and does the answer really matter?) Those negs acceptable? There's a girl in my French class who's got a bit of Neil Young/country/hipster thing going, and I thought I could tell someone like her something along the lines of: "I like your style. I saw a guy a few nights ago with a hat just like that."

>what your hobbies/passions are

I'm a geek. I like to read about all kinds of stuff, especially science. I like to move my shit, especially in the form of biking. I really have a wide range of interests. I enjoy deep talks. I think a lot. I can't play any instruments. I'm trying to learn a few party tricks, but I can't think of too many skills to impress with at the moment. :/ I like myself though.

>what your goals are

I'd like to get more comfortable talking to strangers. (I actually shook lightly tonight which was a bit unusual.) Normally I have no problems at all trying to start a conversation, unless I can't think of anything to say. It was different tonight though. Perhaps it was different because I had decided to go with a new approach?

I'd like to learn how to get laid whenever I want (unless I'm stuck out in the middle of nowhere with a volleyball).

I was depressed for many years and throughout pretty much all of my teens, but I started eating pills in the fall, and it's made things easier. As a result of my illness, I think I've missed out on quality socializing time, and now my brain wants to try to make up for that time because I want to meet as many people as possible. You've probably heard that depression can have a severe impact on one's sex drive. Well, I don't think I ever got to experience what a normal sex drive feels like until recently. I dated a wonderful girl in high school for about a year and whom I lost my virginity to, so at least that's not a problem. What I mean is, there's no fear of sex either. I want it. Now.

Although I have no fear of sex, I don't particularly like being touched. I think this has been a pretty big problem until now because it has meant that there's been hardly any kino when I've tried to show my interest in women.


Any advice as to what I should look into next? And should I post a picture of myself?
