I'm new to the forums and fairly new to the PUA world, though I stumbled on this forum and thought I could get some advice.

So I met this HB8 last weekend at a club. She's from out-of-town. We hung out, danced, talked for almost 2 hours. We made plans for her to come out with me and my friends the next night (she was with her friends and was staying at a hotel with her mom, so I couldn't try to bring her back to my place), but she ended up flaking. However, she texted that she wanted to come back and visit and for me to plan a trip for her. I neg'ed her without making any promises, and she said she'd e-mail me some pics of us from our night out...

A week went by without me doing anything, for I was waiting for her e-mail before responding. When the e-mail didn't come, I figured I'd drop her an unrelated text message (not mentioning the pics) and see if I could spark some intrigue. I sent it yesterday afternoon and haven't heard back. I'm guessing I'm getting the snub. Is there anything I can do from a strategic level, or do I write this one off?

This happened to me once, and I couldn't figure out why this girl would not ever return any of my texts. So naturally I assumed she wasn't interested. I called her and it turned out her phone wouldn't accept incoming text messages from my phone for whatever reason. So don't give up that quickly.

Thanks Enterprise... I guess that's possible, but I know her phone was getting text messages the previous weekend, so I feel it might be unlikely. I don't want to throw in the towel per se, but I don't want come across desperate/needy either. Anyone else with some thoughts?

ok, i am a newbie to this thing but something similar has happened to me. after a # close, the hb didnt reply to my text so i just dropped it. couple of months later, coincidentally saw her at a bar and chopped it up with her until i got an external interruption. i wasnt in the game then - but a couple months after that, sent her a quick email and got a positive response. not sure exactly what to make of it but as you can see, the texting just isnt working in this situtation. since texting hasnt worked so far, obviously my next attempt is to call and generate interest. my advice would be, in the event its not working out - just find another method, just call.

there could be a variety of reasons why she hasnt responded to your texts. another reason not previously mentioned is that she could have just dismissed it is because she just simply hates texting, or maybe she looked at it, was busy and forgot to reply back. its easy to forget about texts at the wrong moment.

but just because shes not responding to the text, we cant write her off yet - we'll need more evidence than that. so at this point lets just assume the text isnt her style/working.

again, my suggestion would be to just call...remember to root your call, definitely put in a time constraint, and throw in your phone game (to set up what you want to do next: just gain interest and eject, set up next meet, keep open for a future meet, or whatever). there you can gauge if the hb is trying to play hard to get or just plainly is not interested...
