There's really not a hard line to toe here - do you want to fuck her? The question should not be 'how to be a boyfriend?', but should be 'Is this girl good/fun enough to be my girlfriend?".

You are the selector, and not the selectee. You are not the one that should qualify as a bf, but the girl should qualify herself to you! This may sound harsh, but this is the mindset you should have. You do not settle for less.
