Yes we already know how to do it in real life. That's all we talk about here. (eye contact, eye contact, and more eye contact... POWER AUTHORITY, SEXUAL TENSION, YES!!!)

However, how do you be an alpha male on forums? I can't lock eyes with you gentlemen and then play the game to try to make the other one look away first.

Ridiculous question, I know... But I am curious.

Wherever they are, natural alpha males give off that unmistakable vibe.

On the other hand, beta males, omega males, effeminate men and so on and so forth give off those unmistakable weak, needy vibes.

Here are some signs:

1. The alpha males in this forum seldom whine or none at all.

2. They don't complain.

3. They amuse themselves.

4. They demonstrate unusual competence; not just talk about it.

Search for Hakuna. He's one good example of a forum alpha male. I bet in real life he's also one or used to be one.

I think the bigger question is, why are you concerned about being an alpha male on a forum?

From what I can gather through Hellhound's post, an alpha seems to me someone who is more than comfortable in their own skin. They project the "You wish you were me" vibe. How to embody this demeanor is entirely up to you. Do not act alpha, Become.

Just my two cents.

The last part of your post is wrong. You can ACT alpha and then you will BECOME alpha. "Fake it until you make it." Check out Amy Cuddy for more info.

One question: 'Why?'

This forum is for helping one another and sharing experiences, I don't really think we need someone buzzing about trying to spout nonsense to get laughs. If you want to, be all means, but I'd rather you not actually.

If you're being serious, Trolls are not Alpha.

Anyway, I used to frequent a popular forum and wound up swiping the hottest chick on the board (HB8). Here is what I did, though it was just me being myself and pre-PUA knowledge:

1) Maintained a cocky attitude and only cracked a joke once in a while (C&F)
2) Posted enough to be known on the board, but not enough to look like a dweeb with no life though I was
3) Stood apart from the rest (I was a non-conformist/rebel but not over-the-top like "hey, look at me")
4) Never got into petty arguments (DLV), but if you do, just stick to the facts and just say what you believe then leave it at that. Don't drag it on.

Don't insult other users.
Don't try to belittle anyone.
The opposite of an alpha is a troll.
