The premise of The GenoType Diet is that you are supposed to be able to change the effect that your genetic make-up has on your health and weight. D'Adamo divides people into six body types according to their genetic make-up. The GenoType Diet plans are then formulated based on a person's genotype. I would be curious as to the the effects, positive or negative, people have had trying it. In my opinion, the idea that a diet could be based around your genetic make up might possibly be the future of eating (although i'm definitely not a dietitian or an expert at all in this field, simply just speculating).
My curiosity is not based on me being unhealthy. I'm very health conscious and i'm generally pretty active especially recently since i've signed up to do an olympic distance triathlon in the summer. Just always keen to experiment and find the most effective way to live. I would be interested to hear any other successes from other diets.
