I founded one topic today where some guy say that Mystery Method is bullshit? He says that when some guy starts acting on MM tehniques he is 99% going to fail. I started my journey with Cory Skyy and David DeAngelo, so Mystery is not "my first PUA guy", and I don't copy tehniques from PUA Gurus, I just apply it to my personality and simply just forget some things that are not my style.

So, I want to hear from you: Does Mystery Method works?

The general outline works. As long as you are willing to break some of the rules you will succeed with the Mystery Method. If you know absolutely nothing about game his method is great because it really breaks down seduction into a football like game plan.

I think Mystery has very good insights about pickup that you should indeed embrace. But there is a lot of irrelevant stuff too. His model of pickup as levels in a computer game is actually quite accurate, and one technique in particular that I recommend is locking in, since seduction requires attention over a longer period of time (referring to the book The Art of Seduction here), and a lock in will give you that among other things. One thing I found worthless was compliance tests, since whether a girl complies with you doesn't mean shit - there are girls who are very submissive out of pure politeness or insecurity.

I wouldn't recommend routines and canned material either, unless you want a power trip and you see women as objects that should be conquered. I have met many girls during club nights who are passive and won't contribute to a conversation whatsoever, probably because they don't have any conversational skills. My natural reaction is to ignore them since I find them boring, and start talking to other people instead. But the thing is, the times I have been in a very talkative state, more or less having a monologue talking to a wall, they become attracted to me. This in turn means that if I just had a couple of hours of "material" (stories), I could get them into bed. So... If you want such girls (I don't) you can indeed use canned material to your advantage.

The MM is a collection of PUA concepts (opening, routines, DHV, etc.), you just have to select the ones that suit you. It is a handbook, and not a short instructions.

To be honest, I am biased since MM was my first introduction to PUA. For beginners I still believe MM could help amazingly, because it provides structure and very useful practical steps. IMHO, i don't believe in the opinion opener, but further the material is good.

In the end all the PUA's descibe the same method: be self-confident, you are the prize, don't beg
