I've been talking to this girl online for a few days and it seems to be going ok. She's contributing well to with the conversation and she seems to find me fun to talk to but I'm finding it difficult to escalate or getting her to respond to my flirting (I'm not doing it every message, just a few) so do you guys think I should a while before asking her out on a date or ask her out ASAP? These good conversations online are few and far between for me so I don't want to waste a good opportunity and let her slip away but at the same time she mightn't agree to a date this soon.

Online dating is a numbers game. You should ask her out early on and if she says no, next her... if you have plenty of targets in the pipeline, you will get some dates, eventually... Otherwise, you will invest a lot of time and energy into communicating with a girl that might not be that attracted to you...

Totally agree with above. Why waste your time talking to a girl who you barely know? Let her know your intentions right off the bat...it's more attractive/confident that way.

best thing to do with online is get a number or a facebook pretty quickly, if she likes you and you get a number thats an instant date... only ever had one girl who turned me down after I got her number
