In a country like Denmark where i'm from, 3 hours apart from eachother is LDR. In three hours you can bascially travel from one end of the country to the other.
I would still call it LDR in your situation, just because of the fact, that it's not easy to visit eachother as often. When i think of a non LDR relationship, i think of someone you can go to in less than half an hour.
Your situation will definitely change, because you will be able to see eachother way more, but it will still be considered a LDR

- It can be either good or bad. When you are spending time together right now, you probably only see the good things in eachother. Seeing eachother way more will eventually bring some negative things out. Some habits that one another don't like, or something else.
My advice would be taking things slow. Just because it's easier now, doesn't mean that you are supposed to be together each day. Don't rush and just take it slowly
