Hey It's Max, residing in Hollywood, CA for the last 15 years (I grew up in Canada).
I can't really say I have started my gaming yet, but I have purchased and almost finished "the mystery method".

Although I have good looks, I have never been great with girls. My problem? the flippin' nice guy syndrome... SO OVER THIS! So it usually goes like this... I'm able to physically attract girls and go on 1 date... but then I'm basically told to stay in the dreaded friend zone. I can't do this anymore!!!

One of my problem is my communication... or my ability to speak. I don't have that talent of being able to tell stories.. and I seem to run out of conversation. I also have a tendency to mumble.

I feel like I should have many things to talk about since I do pretty interesting things... I am a CNC programmer in the field of Aerospace, I am also a music producer in the genre of POP, I have side business projects, and I race motocross... but still, I seem to not be able to "sell" myself.

This year I made a commitment to myself. To improve my communication skills. So I am doing public speaking workshops, and other exercises to have a louder speaking voice.

I will soon be ready to game, but I am completely terrified to OPEN. Although I have made a lot of progress in the last few weeks. I now make a point in engaging a short conversation with all the cashiers that I come across, for example.

I'd like to start with "baby steps" in mind. When I read Mystery saying "you gotta go out 5 nights a weeks for 4 hrs and hit 3 sets per hour... that's terrifying!!!! and not realistic for a newbie i think. Is there a way to work your way up in steps?

Thanks, and wish me luck!!

Yes, I wish this was easier!!!

Thanks! Appreciate that!

I'm pretty excited to get going.

If anyone from LA is looking for a wing man... let me know.
Would love to have someone to work with.
None of my friends have enough balls to get serious about this.

But I'm ready!

Welcome!

May I suggest balance reading with doing. It should be 50% theory and 50% action when you start out.

Avoid the temptation to keep on reading. You may be figuring awesome things out...but you'll forget it all sooner than you think. Only action will solidify it in your mind.

@metomeya

good tip. Thanks!

@tyrannodex

that sounds good!
how experienced are you with this?
tell me a little about you.

Are you up for hitting Hollywood Blvd?
It offers A LOT of possibilities (in the streets approaches, but also several cool "pub-like" venues to walk in and out from. Never a dull moment.

Max

I'm also fresh to Hollywood. I Direct, but I'm taking an acting class to better understand how actors feel.

Let's hit it!

Just a quick update....

last Sunday was my first time in the game... officially.

While running errands at night, I said to myself "I have to open at least 1 girl per locations tonight. I won't go home until I do."
Needless to say I was terrorized. I went to 3 different stores and ended up opening 7 girls!!! I was pretty pumped. Although it went nowhere after my 2-3 minute openers cuz I ran out of conversation, I still view this as a big victory... considering from how far I started... I had a revelation too: I ACTUALLY HAVE A CHOICE OF GIRLS IN LIFE. No more "I'll take what I can get" attitude. This was such a rush!!!!

Since then, I'm still reading and learning, and this weekend I will do some bar game with a wing.
Im ready!!
