GF is foreign so does not normally celebrate valentine's day. Need a response quickly. Considering sending her gifts but wondering if it is ever a demonstration of higher value.

Please reply quickly.

Get her a gift if you think it will make her happy, not to impress her. If you start buying things for someone else just to impress them it's pretty low. If you're independent and free thinking and exhibit the fact that you're only getting something because that's the good boyfriend you are then it's DHV.

For instance: GF is upset. You buy her a teddy bear, something small, not too big a deal but something she'll appreciate. Why did you get it? Because she's upset and it makes her feel better to have an item you gave her to hold onto. Consider the teddy bear an emotional anchor. She associates good things with you and anchors them in the teddy bear. When she's upset she turns to the teddy and remembers you, feeling happier.

Also, it's Valentines day. Get her a fucking rose and a box of chocolates. Fuck man, this is lame when you ask stupid shit like this.

Thanks for the response. You are harsh man. This girl has literally never celebrated it before. Also it may be considered dlv to buy a present. I appreciate your input and I will get her something small.

DLV to pander to her and get her a present at her behest.

It's fine to give the occasional gift because it's what you want to do.

So u see gift giving depends on what energy it's coming out of. Obligation = do not gift give; wanting to give a gift w/o expectation = good
