I recently met this girl at Barnes and Nobles. We got to talking and I felt like we had a good vibe going. She laughed at my jokes, and was invested in the conversation. I gave her my number the other day thinking that I might get somewhere with this girl.
Today she texted me. We sent a few texts back and forth and I told her I wasn't a big fan of texting. She told me she was driving at the moment, and would call me when she got home. I texted her about a half hour later asking if she got home. She told me she wanted to get a nap before she met up with her friends, so I told her that's cool we can chat later.
Did I shoot myself in the foot by insisting on talking on the phone? Or am I looking too much into this.

Sometimes it's best to give the benefit of the doubt. After all, you should be of the mindset that you're the prize, right? So why wouldn't she wanna call you?

Don't overthink it, just see how things play out from here. I'm sure something this minor won't have put her off; if anything, it shows you're confident and willing to have an actual conversation over the phone instead of the 'easy way out' of text messaging.

Am I the only one that caught "driving at the moment" and will call when she gets home?

I met a girl online, and told her it was deal breaker to call all the time instead of texting. I'm a busy guy, and cannot have a phone to my ear for more than 15 minutes at a time. I can text whenever it is convenient.

Yeah I noticed that too. I tried to talk to her today, and she gave me the same cold responses. I'm going to chalk this one up as a flake. Time to move on.
