I tried using this twice yesterday at the mall. However, all the girl said was "Thanks" and walked on by. I was walking out the door as she was coming in, not sure if thats a factor. Also did it on street, girl didn't say anything, just kept on walking. This is a problem, how am I spose to get the number if they keep on walking? At least I can SAY SOMETHING now, rather than nothing. Anything I can do to improve?

I'm pretty new to PUA. But perhaps the way you said it was insincere or maybe you stated it like you wanted something in return. Practice makes perfect. You may want to try something more subtle as in asking for the time and then commenting on their outfit.

Yes, you were mistaken. The nightclubs are really the best place because, well, that is why single women go there, to meet guys. It is possible to meet girls at the mall, but make sure you get positive eye contact from them. Whether at the mall, club, wine shop, etc, women know what you want the moment you walk up, they aren't stupid and can smell desperation miles away. Good luck chap.

If you expect the women to give you their number based on this simple compliment you will be disappointed. If it is possible, introduce yourself first and just say hi!

When you have done that, then you can compliment her on her outfit IF you mean it! It is an art really, but find something you like about every girl, something that makes them stand out from the rest; lipstick, outfit, laugh, humor, a smile, whatever! Just be sincere.

Ask for her number pretty soon in the interaction and don't be afraid to be a little direct. Say that she seems like a sweet/interesting/fun girl and you would like to know her better and then ask for her number or ask her out straight away.
