Had a great night out dancing, met a really cool girl who had been stood up earlier, and got her out on the dancefloor, and the guy off her mind. We realized we had a mutual friend, we chatted with some of my friends, moved her twice, had a good bit of touching kino, and we were about to go to another venue. She had to go to the bathroom, so I waited for her at the bar, but ended up getting sucked back into the dance because I don't like to wait, because you never know, right?

Anyways, didn't see her, and checked my phone 10 minutes later, and she had texted me saying she couldn't find me, and that she was going home. I told her to come back or that we should chill another time if not. She said she wanted to chill, and let her know what my birthday plans are, it's in a few days.

Here's where I think I dropped the ball. Instead of replying to her IOI about my birthday, with an IOI. I kinda negged her and said

"woah I just met you, I think you're cool, but I don't think I know you well enough for you to be kicking it with my best friends on my birthday, but we should definitely chill sometime."

She saved face, by saying she was just trying to be nice, and I sent a text saying "don't worry about it, I just didn't want to expose you to too much bromance, but if you think you can hang, you can join.'

The actual texts were kind've excessively wordy, but what do you fellas think? Is it saveable, what should I say?

Word, thanks for the affirmation. Just got a text back from her, saying she'd be down to hang another time, and justifying something she said to me, thus showing she's still interested, and DLV on her part.

You should't neg through a text message because people often perceive this wrong. I know because I ruined a pick-up by negging through texts and the hook-up totally feel apart. Negging should be done in person because it has a different kind of affect and it is easier to control the situation/conversation when you are face to face.

As far as saving it! Go for it! She seems like the competitive type since she asked you if you "think you can hang". If I were you I would show her you could hang with her and "keep up"! Women (people in general) have short attention spans so you have to move quick to pull her in. Once you have her in she will stay for a while, no matter how much bs you put her through!
