Pickup is a performance art, just like public speaking or being an actor on stage. There are many similarites between pickup and stage acting. Both require you to put yourself on the line, stepping out of your comfort zone, and being LOUD. Being loud, having people hear you, having people know what you want and what you do, is all a part of pickup. A girl must know that you like her (through your eyes, your vibe, your tone of voice), and you must put yourself on the line every single time. This is extreme vulnerability and desire, and you will have to go through it with every woman you meet. Talking to a group of people is a performance art because everyone is listening to what you have to say, and that adrenaline rush you feel is just like when stepping onto a stage. Most people could never handle this sort of pressure. But luckily the adrenaline that pumps through your body plus your desire forces your mind to come up with shit to say. You will have stuff on your mind and you will need to get them out.

Pickup is a performance art just like stage-acting. If you think it should just come naturally in your day to day life, you're wrong. Every time you go out you have to get past that first approach, that first fear, that unstifling of yourself to becoming vulnerable in your desire. Everyone has to do it, so have the understanding that this is normal and that you HAVE to do this as well.

I agree with you guys and I would like to add that there are at least two ways to play the game when talking about making a performance. Either through rehearsed routines, or as a natural with internalized knowledge. I can only talk for myself, but I know several people who have never been interested in pickup in the way we are, but who still are (just like me) confident enough (or perhaps just comfortable enough) to be in the center and enjoy the attention, and even craving it! My point is, the "performance" does not have to be... Anything special at all. You just need to be more interesting than the other guys in the group, and you will win the girl by comparison.

I'm not sure if you agree, but I think being an attention whore is a part of being alpha male. Give it a thought and you will probably come to the same conclusion.

Being real is not bollocks. Talking to the opposite sex should come naturally, because it is natural. Yes true, you may need to warm up sometimes, but all the same that should be about getting less nervous and just getting used to talking to people.

I am not going to apologise for the 'spamming' I stick on here. However as I advocate being real, that is exactly what I'm going to do.
