| I see you are new here, so I will give you my advice for this situation, and my general advice.
The problem you get into with routines is the very one you just encountered. Because you so focused on the routines, you run out of other things to say. This is very common.
Best advice is to have a few go to topics when you run out of material. You'd be surprised how quickly you can run out of routines when you are in set.
Some topics I like to talk about are:
Dreaming and Lucid Dreaming
Meditation
Relationships
Think of these as very broad routines. Don't memorize specific lines, just be able to talk about them on an intellectual level. Girls like guys who are interesting. To begin talking about a subject like this, just say it happened to you recently. You can talk on and on about nothing, and as long as she is listening, it won't really matter.
Another thing that I like to do is play the game "Fuck, Marry, Kill."
Basically, you point out three guys in the room, and ask which one she would fuck, which one she would marry, and which one she would kill. Then ask her why she would make those choices. Then ask her to reciprocate by picking three girls for you... be honest, but give creative reasons why you make your choice.
One time, a girl picked three fat girls for me, and I said I'd kill all of them...a ridiculous, socially unacceptable answer... she LOVED it. I was able to justify it, by saying that because they didn't care about their weight, they probably have an unattractive personality as well.
This brings me to something, which you mentioned in passing, is that you need to have balls to get some girls... push the conversation deeper without getting her uncomfortable. Be Mr. Smooth.
Lastly, you need a model... not a fashion model, but a guy who is great with women to model your behavior after. I model my game after three people: Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, and Tony Soprano.
Leonardo DiCaprio is probably the smoothest actor you will ever see in movies, he is charming, polite, and extremely interesting (Lucid Dreaming and Meditation are my poor man's DiCaprio)- he is not necessarily an alpha male, but he makes up for it by being extremely smooth in everything he does.
Russell Crowe is the toughest actor you will ever see, he is gruff, manly, and doesn't give a damn, he is a fighter. Women love hard working, motivated, self made men. Russell also has no fear in all of his roles... think Cinderella Man when he is going to fight the man who killed another boxer. Plus girl also like muscles, and the willingness to protect them from harm.
My last model is Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini's character, and my profile pic)... classic alpha male. He is leader of his crew, he takes what he wants, including a lot of pussy. He is a man of complete confidence, although he has major flaws.
Having models will save you a lot of time. Just put yourself into their mindframe, mimic their behaviors, they are already successful.
