so recently I realized one of my sticking points was not having enough interesting things to say to woman when we first met. Unfortunately my passions of politics, law school, horror movies, PUA, wrestling and football was of little interest to them. So I thought we could make a list of books, movies and t.v shows that could help us relate to woman

books
-my secret garden, I just finished reading this book and it was fascinating, I would recommend it to any PUA even if you were not going to use it as a conversational piece. It is basically a collection of woman's sexual fantasies (which are waay crazier than men's)
-james bond of cold reading, an easy way to learn the basics of cold reading but if you wanted a more in depth look I would buy a different book

movies
-mean girls, just finished watching it and it was actually pretty good. I will watch it another 1-2 times so I can accurately quote it if the moment calls for it
-dirty dancing, never watched it yet but I know girls love it so it is definitely a must see

tv shows
lost/the office/ parks and recreation. I wouldn't say these were girl shows but they were recommended to me by girl friends
true blood, i was thinking of starting to watch this

you guys have any suggestions on things you can read/watch that would help give you common interests with woman?

If you actually want to read, watch these movies for enjoyment its one thing, but to watch in rewatch in hopes that quoting them will make you more attractive to women is another. You can be interesting without watching and reading chick flicks and books. Personally if I saw a guy quoting mean girls I would think it strange and feel most females would as well. Be interesting is all in how you frame it and how confident you are with the subject matter.

well thanks for the helpful post man. I agree with you that I would not want to invest the time in reading or watching a TV show that you just plain dislike, although watching a 1 1/2 hour movie would not be to bad. While it's true that I did not enjoy my secret garden as much as I would of enjoyed reading Ron Paul's new book on homeschooling, I like girls so I enjoyed the book knowing that I would have a conversational thread that would be interesting to girls. While with the right frame you can be more interesting talking about politics than women's sexual fantasies, not everyone has the same skills as you, and sometimes it helps to have things to talk about that you know women will find interesting. It's not much of a novel idea to read something to give you an extra conversational piece with friends/woman, my whole book on cold reading is meant for that! Also how do you figure to know I was quoting mean girls unless you yourself have watched mean girls?
