Anybody seen the Ugly Truth with Gerald Butler? I think this movie is only of the only movies that portray attraction correctly.

Everyone talks about they types of personalities and what they what.

You should be What you are. But You should also be more than that. that's what women are attracted to. The under-layer that there's something more to you. The asshole with the heart of gold. If you're going to be a jerk then have something soft like maybe you love kids or volunteer with animals, or if your a nerdy outcast stand up for people's rights, start an anti-bullying campaign, the lead singer of a band or find a sport somewhere where you can show dominance.

Find a way to equal yourself out.

I'd also suggest watching the movie "Crazy, Stupid, Love"
