I'm on an online dating website. I get plenty of girls visiting my profile, but they don't message me. Should I message them first? Now, the most difficult part about this is I really don't know what to say! When I'm at a bar I can come up with something to say to a girl. I just have a tough time starting a conversation online, especially if I have to be the first one who starts it.

Yes, message them. It isn't as good as if they contact you first, but it is better than random girls who don't even view you. In general the priority should go:

1. Women who contact you
2. Women who wink/like/etc.
3. Women who view you
4. All others

Personally i dislike online game a lot, maybe i'm wrong but it seems to me like stacks are set against you in this one, except for SPAM maybe, but M/F ratio in this places is just horrible in my experience, there are also a lot of trolls and gay guys posing as women, online you never know, also hot girls rarely have any need to go date online, even average looking girls have little interest in it, seems like this places are filled with lowest of the low, very old women(like in range of 50-70) fat chicks(and i don't mean plump) and chicks so ugly they are hard to look at, of course you may find a girl that is neither of those things, is cute, wants to meet you and lives in your area but odds of that happening are slim at best, at the same time streets are filled with girls, at the time you spend online you could be sarging real women, you know, the ones you can actually see.

On free shitty sites that is sometimes true, but sites like match.com, unless you are really ugly, are BY FAR the easiest ways to meet women. It's so easy it's not even funny.

Yes, you should contact these women who view your profile, but be warned, it doesn't mean they're interested in you. If they like, favorite your profile, then I think it's safe to say a message should be sent from you. I've been a member of a couple dating sites, and I always message women that view my profile, well ones I find interesting at least.
