These are the 2x types of girls I get involved with.

1. Party girls who crave attention but drive me wild in bed. Flirt with guys in front of me, dress like sluts, heavy drinkers, give incredible BJs but probably cheat.

2. Sensible girls who are very faithful but boring as fuck in bed, refuse to suck cock / do anal and dress conservatively.

So if I want to be monogamous, my options are 1) Tame the party girl or 2) Sexualise the boring girl. I'm beginning to believe that happy monogamous relationships where the sex is awesome and the girl never cheats are actually impossible.

I don't think it's impossible to have a monogamous relationship where the sex is awesome because I've had many and having one right now. And none of the girls were either party girls.
So you might need to look for girls outside of the nightlife scene. Look for girls that have things going for them. You will meet these girls during the day or doing some kind of activity. This basically means that you might want to take up hobbies which involve meeting other people.

Not likely if you're considering a LTR. Once a whore, always a whore. That's actually quite easy to do. The boring girls are easily persuaded to do kinky stuff if you build some competitive anxiety and you give 'em a pet on the back now and then about their progress in bed. Don't use long term solutions for short term problems.

My problem is many of my girlfriends start as groupies (I'm a singer/songwriter), so I always have a plentiful supply of willing women who want to have sex with me because there are always new girls at every gig. But I'm at the point now where I want more than just sex. Groupies come and go and my life has become an empty existence. Plenty of sex but really unfulfilling.

When I'm looking for committed, monogamous relationships, I'm always doing it around my social circle. I know many people advocate against that because you can have bad reputation if you fuck up and whatever, but if you know your shit, then it is the best and most simple way to find a potential mate. And the reason is really easy: A girl that comes from your natural environment is more likely to have similar expectiations regarding multiple areas of life. Hence this makes it a lot easier to maintain a happy relationship.

my personal experience is number 1's are a pain the arse and more hassle than they are worth

far better to go with number 2's but i disagree with your opinion of them that they are boring , sure there is boring ones but stay away from them and they wont do anal, swallow and are a bad fuck , i find the reverse they usually go pretty good

I think this sums it up pretty much. My last 5 girlfriends (including my current GF) fit into one of the two categories and I think it's just coincidence. I'm probably looking for patterns where there are none. i.e. Every girl is different.

I'm a guitarist myself, I get where you're coming from with the groupies, Hunter. I think the essence is calibration. Qualify a chick you really like for what you're looking for. Draw a ferm line in the sand and stick to it. Shit test her. Treat her like she treats a beta. This actually worked for me so far.

Think AFC said it best here. Find girls out of the nightlife scene. You're taking the easy route. You can qualify for what you like and they may qualify themselves, but odds are the type of woman you want is not going to come from a groupie pool.

Sounds sensible. But your lifestyle has to change if you want to find a girl that can enrich it. My guess is that you come off as good with women, and combined with your lifestyle (gigs) the women you really want feel insecure and fizzle. There is a line between being "open" with fans and flirting with fans. Maybe you're crossing it. If you found a girl for a monogamous rs, why wouldnt you cheat? I don't know what your personal view is on cheating, but if it's true and you wouldn't, try showing this to women earlier so they at least aren't that intimidated. If you make it known what you're more interested in commitment and show this, you shouldn't have a problem. It's not your options, but they don't know what's stopping you from taking those options.

Probably a pretty fair analysis. No I don't cheat, unless it's right at the end of a dead relationship and I'm trying to force a change. However, I regularly find out the groupies have husbands or boyfriends, but normally after we have already fucked. That's different cuz they are the ones cheating, not me.
