There is one thing missing from your post, which is perhaps the most important:

Humility. Without humility, your mind is closed to new ideas. Truly wise people do not describe themselves as wise. As you get older, you will realise that the more you learn, the less you know. Learn to be humble, it goes a long way.

Confidence and arrogance are not the same thing. Learn the difference.

Telling a girl you like her "a lot" (without being in an actual intimate relationship, by witch I mean having at least making out occasionaly or having sex) destroys your value (you could have pretty much said, here take my balls I dont need em anymore.)
"Talk to her on a deeper level"... (at this point her anti-wuss shield reaches its full capacity which is you getting cock-blocked for good)

You are friends with this girl? Good, she wont expect the attack, good for you if you do it right.
Set something up where you can work your charms on her, don't make it sound like a date but be sure you get some 1 on 1 time with her even if its a party with more friends of you or hers. Don't go by the book on this one, your mission at this point is to spark the fire not to burn her to the ground.
Make sure she notices that shes physically attracted to you (its you being physically attracted to her but she cant know that, she has to feel her attraction to YOU). You can work with a few routines on this mission, use what you feel comfortable with.

And don't forget no matter how it turns out after this, the friendship is over! You have to exercise the push and pull, she'll notice the change and might ask you what's "wrong" -> use routine at this point, don't let her smell the setup.
