Hi,
I'm fairly new to the forums and this is the first field report I mustered up the courage to write about. With polite tact, if I'm posting in the wrong portion of the forum please just politely let me know and I'll copy/paste it over to the correct 1 - thx.
This is a successful first date story -- a first meet after some chatting via an online dating site.
So, upon reflection after doing my best to do a lot of the homework (reading all the same books and site advice as you all are), I realized that my main 2 problems on dates (the 2 main reasons why the girl stuck around for 2 weeks and then I got friend-zoned and never heard from her again) was 1) lack of kino (shyness), and 2) putting her first in terms of trying to think ahead of what she would want and then catering to it (the prob I find is that my actions seem artificial like I'm not in control of me).
So, last night I get to the meet spot (a noodle shop) on time and of course get the standard "Hi, running about 15 minutes late -- see you soon!" text that I always get and never seem to learn from... So, old me would have waited outside for her and just kinda froze up (it was pretty cold outside). New me realized that right next door to meet location was a sake bar with a nice little happy hour -- in I went.
I was having a great time (on my 2nd Sapporo and hitting on the cute female bartender - ring routine with the fingers -- I'm brand new to this stuff but I really highly recommend it; girls seem to love it) when my date showed up. I snapped back into old me and started worrying that she would be alarmed by my tangential actions. But I kept my composure and greeted her with a friendly smile. And then, something interesting happened...
She smiled, ordered up some sake with 2 shot glasses, and said, "I really needed this!" We had a great time, moved to the noodle place after sake and beer, I leaned in across the table and said, "c'mere" and she leaned in with a smile and we kissed (she seemed to really like that) and then had a huge (seemingly never-ending) kiss at the end of the date.
I know I'm supposed to end everything first but every time I tried to end the kiss she pulled me back in (I actually had to go to an event and I was about 4 hours off the 7-hour rule -- plus, I wanted to leave her wanting more). I finally did end it first tho.
This is my 2nd epic (epic for me) meet -- the first was about 2 months ago and that girl I opened that night. I'm getting there
