I'll try my best to keep this shortish. This girl and I dated for 5-6 months, never really officially called each other BF/GF, but we still hung out all the time, talked everyday, etc. Sex was always really good. She wanted it all the time, initiated it herself frequently, had started sending me nude pics, etc.

We had gotten in one pretty big fight about a month ago and decided to slow down and take things more day by day which didn't actually end up happening and within a week or so we were back to normal. Looking back I was probably a little too available, but not overly so I don't think. After the fight I was considering breaking it off, but things actually started getting better IMO, so I kept with it.4

She just lost her job around this time and was obv a bit stressed and would occasionally try and lash out at me. I calmly told her I knew she was stressed and if she needs any help she can call me, but it's not fair to take it out on me. She seemed to really appreciate this and quickly apologized. A week or so later she found a new job, and I had agreed to take her out to a nice dinner (which we rarely do) to celebrate. I was really exhausted from a long day at work and wasn't my normal, energetic self so the dinner was a little dull, but overall not too bad. I told her I wasn't feeling great, but when we got back to her apartment we were sitting around when she randomly blurted out "this isn't working is it?"

I was a little surprised and not on my A game, but we talked about it for a while and . I somewhat agreed because we live 45 min away, and she has a dog so it hasn't always been easy hanging out. She did repeatedly mention how it's the best sex she's ever had, and that she loves hanging out with me, etc. I didn't react "perfectly" but it wasn't bad. We calmly talked about it, she said we didn't have to make a decision now, we joked around a little and I left. We both had plans that weekend so we couldn't hang out anyways, so we sorta agreed to see how we feel after that. There was no real timeline set though. FWIW, this was by far her longest relationship and some of our mutual friends thinks she's just freaking out because it's getting serious.

So I went no contact for about 10 days, and on Halloween texted her "Just wanted to tell you Happy Halloween, and that I have in fact missed you. Hope you're enjoying the new job!" Maybe not a smart text, but she texted back fairly quickly (ignored the miss you part though). I texted her back sporadically, and she would respond almost immediately and seemed to be really happy to talk to me again; however I know this doesn't necessarily mean much. Things were fun, light-hearted, etc.

Now I'm not really sure where to go w/ things. We still haven't addressed the elephant in the room, and I'm not sure if I'm just wasting my time. Assuming I actually do want to make things work (which I'm still not totally sure of), what would be the best course of action? Would you guys recommend cutting back the texting frequency? Should I call her? Should I try to find something fun to do and ask her to tag along?

My apologies for how long this got. It's really hard to explain it w/ the proper context!

Oh and FWIW, I stupidly drunk texted her last night (note to self...write numbers down and erase them from my phone when drinking!) saying "Ummm no comment...I miss you" which really doesn't make any sense lol. She responded quickly "Lol are you drinking Mr. No Comment?" Overall the tone of the texts were funny/playful but still not smart. She did re-initiate this morning asking about my night so I suppose that's good.
