I met a girl while travelling recently and added her on Facebook. I'm travelling through that area again soon so was trying to get something going before hand. I remember teasing her about being Irish, well more so that all her friends were Irish and that I couldn't understand.

Anyway I message the following:
Hey xxxx,
It's a shame you weren't drinking Saturday people find me much funnier when they have been (: I can't believe you bailed early! Sorry that I only understood half of what you were saying, maybe talking over facebook will be easier. So where did you run off to anyway?


Her:
Hi, I left early to go home. You did tell me that you were not happy to know that I was Irish.


Should I ignore it, say I was joking or that she misheard me. I'm actually going to Ireland next year so was considering saying that.

Any help on what to say next would be appreciated.

Call her up NEXT YEAR...... Why waste time and energy to build attraction (which definitely fades easily with time) and time-bridging a few months in advance.....? You can fluff talks with some tease and sexting to keep her interested once in a while, but wait until one or two weeks before you go to Ireland to really escalate.

Sorry should have made it more obvious, she doesn't live in Ireland, but Australia. I'm headed back there in 3-4 weeks depending on work
