Ups and downs in relationships should be expected. I don't have to tell anyone that.

However, the most important aspect of that is from where the downs (disagreements and contentions) originate.

If your spouse lacks respect for you as a person, she will begin to test you further in hopes to rattle you to the core in order to expose you as a real man or just a poser.

Most women aren't aware of this [that they test men unfairly], since it's just an instinctive mechanism to weed out the Alpha-Male from the Beta-Male.

In essence, no woman wants to date a weak man whom she can push over, manipulate, etc. So 90% of her testing, poking and nagging are to confirm whether her man is a doormat or a resolute character.

If you allow her to get away with these antics, she will have lost respect for you, which entails further disregard and eventually cheating on you...and dumping you.

Sounds pretty fucked-up to the average guy who just wants to get along or stand on mutual grounds with his partner.

Well news flash is that women aren't looking for equals in men. If that was the case, why not just date Lesbians who are of equal in every aspect to every other woman?

Women want manly men.

That doesn't mean a super-bravado dick who doesn't know when to smile and have fun. But someone who knows when and how to execute power, and if he has to- walk away from the relationship.
