Women on POF are so picky they will only respond to the hottest of guys. Basically you are up against an almost impossible level of competition if your an average guy. I had a look at the guys round my local area (central Scotland) and there are so many guys who at first glance would seem way more attractive to women than myself. For-example one guy who lives near me is a helicopter pilot and is 6ft2 and buff with lots photo's of him on the job. There are lots of firemen, policemen, soldiers, bouncers and other alpha types around. The hot women also get bombarded with so many messages, up to 40 or 50+ a day. They get so many they cant keep up.

Is it any wander that its difficult to get a response?

I'm not saying its impossible to get results on pof if you are an average guy with average looks and an average job and status in life but its a lot of work for mediocre results at best.

I have spent a lot of time trying out different profiles and pictures and various openers etc, what works best is to have a slightly cocky/arrogant profile with a touch of humour in it. The thing you need to get across in your profile is that you’re special, you’re different and interesting and are not the same as the other million guys she’s just seen. Simply writing a list of your interests inst going to cut it.

Basically make out that your bit of a ladies man or a badboy, which girls secretly love, but that you want to change and the right girl could make you settle down! Thats a girls dream!

The openers also have to really stand out from the crowed and be either extremely funny, alpha/ballsy or unusual. The best three openers I have came across are the following:

“I hate you”

“I just saw your profile and I DEMAND you write back to me and ask me out immediately! Hurry up!

” Hi, so I just moved into my flat and i need a girl to come round and just clean up and look after me, you start immediately. Please bring a mop”

Even with really good openers it is still basically a numbers game, you may have to send out 20/30 messages to get a single response. And even then sometimes you cant keep the conversion going beyond a couple of messages because she's getting so many messages from other guys.

You also have to make sure that the photo's you use are showing you in the best possible light, No matter what anybody else tells you, looks count massively online. You could have the best profile ever written, and the best openers but if your just not hot enough looking for her she will simply flick over your profile to the next guy and you wont get a chance to run any online game on her.

I also advise telling a few little white lies on your profile:

Lie about your height, add a couple of inches since most women wont be able to really tell the difference anyway but may think they only want a man above 5ft11 etc...

Lie about your profession, Lie about travel, Lie about literally everything you feel comfortable lying about but don't go overboard otherwise she'll probably figure you out as a bullshitter. Worst case scenario is that a girl walks out on you when she realizes you lied, in which case, you’re still not having any less sex with her than you would have otherwise. But once you have screwed her a couple of times a woman forgives you all, in her loins’ tingly thrall.

I am not a bad looking guy probably about a (6/7), and I have a good profile with decent photos on it but I find it a lot of work to even get a response from anybody I would consider actually meeting. What I have found is that having a decent profile gets me lots of messages (around 5 to 8 a day which is a lot for a guy) but from low quality women. The amount of fat ugly disgusting women that send me messages like : Hi howz U? is sickening. But its very rare that a women above a 5 will send me a message on her own accord.

Basically a women rated as a 6 in the flesh feels and acts like a 8/9 on POF because of the amount messages she will get. Another thing I have found is even when you do hook a chick on pof it can take days or weeks of of online gaming to actually get them to meet you. I know a lot of guys say get the meeting set-up as fast a possible but around here they just wont meet you until they are absolutely convinced that your not a creep or weirdo and are a hot guy. And chances are she is talking to 3 or 4 other guys simultaneously and the only way your getting a meeting is by out doing all of them with your chat.

POF is a lot of hard work but not impossible, end of the day its probably not worth the effort!

Yea i been gave up on POF. POF consist of a bunch of insecure women who think they are big shit because they are getting 50-100 messages a day. The ones that arent insecure are extremely picky and then thw reat are either trannies or fake profiles. So yea to be successful on POF you just need hot pics. If you got hot pics, your opener nor profile matters

Message the girls without pics. About 25% of hot girls who are genuinely looking for someone will take their photos off within a week when they're inundated with inane messages by players and chancers.

I'm not sure about that, I don't think iv ever spoken to a women online that had no pic that didn't turn out to be a complete mong or extremely fat. In my experience they don't have a photo for a reason.

You can tell by their profile. Anything to do with the arts or sophisticated pastimes is a good start, also you can filter by body type. If a girls is slim, blonde and 5' 11" tall it's very unlikely she's a mong. Have a sense of adventure lad you've got rid of 95% of the competition from the outset.
