Hi all,
I've always been a sucker for situational openers, they seem to come naturally for me...
But lately I'm struggling to transition from them, and am starting to think maybe I should start using more canbed openers. I know every situation is different, but on average what kind seem to get the best results for you ???
Ideas and opinions to help me out please
Yours,
Yoghurt
If you suck at transitioning from an opener to something else, then a canned opinion opener wouldn't help too. Usually after the opener, personally I would lock-in and say "You guys seem pretty interesting, let's get to know each other." (Of course assuming they're engaged) The reason I do this is because now they're compelled to ask questions about you, not the other way round like what most other guys do, and you don't want to go into the "What you do for a living?" "Where do you live?" interview mode.
For your stage I would suggest working on transitioning rather than the opener itself. Of course I would also recommend experimenting different style of openers: direct, indirect and situational, and build your own style of openers just for yourself. There's no best openers out there, you'll have to find the ones that suits your character and personality. I am personally detaching myself from opinion openers and trying out direct openers because they suit my playful character more, and they so much work better.
