Hey guys, I recently found out that is girl I've kinda liked for a while has just split up from her boyfriend. This girl is a friend of my mate's girlfriend. I first me her a few years ago and we've met a couple of times since but she's been with the same boyfriend.

Now she is single, I would quite like to take her out and see what happens. But my question is - what would be the best way? I only have her on Facebook so I can only chat with her using that (for now at least). What's the best way to ask her out on Facebook? Also, she's only been single for about 2 weeks so would it be best to wait?

Facebook game is pretty weak, but here's how I have gone about it in the past with some success.

If the girl posts statuses regularly, you can use a situational facebook message opener, using the message tool rather than commenting under her post. You want to keep it to a minimum, a relatively short conversation, then spontaneously ask her to keep you company while you are out running some errands.
