This HB9 German girl came in exchange to my high school, and so I approached her to introduce myself.
It was going well, she only knows a little bit of english so I was just asking her basic questions like where did she come from and kept talking to her until the conversation dried up.
So I came back to talk to her a couple minutes later and tried to do the jealous girlfriend opener, but she didn't understand SHIT.

-ME: Hey I need a female opinion on something.
-HB: "with a confused what-the-fuck face" whaat?

And it kept going like that, the look on her face was depressing. It was awkward as FUCK, then I just left. That fucking sucked, it was my fault for being a try-hard. Any advice on this type of situations?

Keep it simple when you are gaming foreign girls. That jealous boyfriend blabla is definitely a no go with a German girl, especially if she doesn't understand English. Just keep it simple. Watch a German movie and try to speak some German (Downfall is probably the most famous one, but be careful on the Nazi jokes). If she wonders why you tried, tell her you like to hang out.

Keep it simple, the girl needs friends if she's new on campus, that's your way in. So no fancy pick up shizzle, just befriend her first and then start escalating as soon as you have some communication and rapport going.
