Ladies and gentlemen. The only excuse for a weak handshake is an injury or medical condition.

Nothing annoys me more than a guy or girl that has a weak handshake, it is courtesy and respectful to have a firm handshake. due to pure size and strength i will tolerate a weak handshake a little more from girls but still dont like it. Even if you squeeze enough for me to know you are trying is enough, i am not going to break your hand.

Guys have no excuse. if you shake my hand and its weak then you have already lost my respect and for the rest of the time we speak i will think you are a wuss. and i will probably call you on it instantly.

respect aspect aside, a firm handshake to a girl should also demonstrate strength and power, they should know that you polite as well as strong enough to defend them if needed.

I once had a girl who refused to switch her cigarette from her right hand to left in order to shake my hand. I looked her in the eye and said "you are not worth my time" and walked away. worth it. i dont like smokers anyway.

Maybe i am old fashioned or maybe I'm just a dick. I know many of my girl friends share my view.

Firm handshake should always be in a mans arsenal. Honestly, it should become natural if not so already. It emits a sense of alpha from the get-go. But I have met many individuals who squeeze to an unnecessary amount. To me, that shows that I have already given off an alpha vibe because they feel a subconscious threat and they are attempting to overcompensate.

@Playboi_ I absolutely agree with that. I tend to smile when people squeeze harder than necessary. Its a bad as having a weak handshake.
