Dreammaker12 here. I've never been a ladies man, but I've had a few girlfriends over the years, which included sex and the whole 9. But I've been out of the game for a while now, and have a date coming up within the next 48 hours.
I just wanted to get a question out in the air, to patch my game up as much as possible, and relieve some of that familiar anxiety. We are doing the very familiar Dinner and a movie scheme, which she is quite ok with.

I'm horrible at small talk. This isn't exclusive to the ladies, but extends out through work, and other small social gatherings; that is, until I get a little alcohol in me. But that is not possible in this case. Might I add that I am a very Introverted person. so does anyone have any tips on this topic?

I also want to add that I skipped the whole pick-up aspect with this girl. Somehow, I scored a date with her very easily. She is a very beautiful person, and I am very attracted to her, which adds to the whole equation.

Your horrible at small talk? Good! Talking during a movie is frowned upon.

Quit over thinking what you have/need to do. Just keep not doing shit. Be yourself - she already likes you. Your already in.

Yeah... I'm pretty good at small talk, but it doesn't do anything for me. The weather and news aren't really that interesting - it's why people hate small talk.

I think small talk is useful in other settings though. You use it to butter a person up and figure out their motives. You can tell a lot about a person just by the way they present themselves to people. Mostly you can figure out whether or not they're comfortable with small talk.
