A neg is something that conveys to the girl that she aint all that. It's not disrespeting her, but a lot of hot girls are so used to compliments, you should give a "half compliment" like "nice nails. Are they real? I love them"
A pebble is a playful tease to hint that she is somehow earning your interest.

You neg in the attraction stages (A1/A2), then screen to create disinterest and have her chase you. When she is confused why you're not hitting on her like every other guy, she becomes intrigued.

In the A3 stage, she has some interest in you and complies when you isolate her away from her friends. At this stage, you can throw pebbles like "Just because I flirt doesn't mean I put out" or "whoa whoa, let's not confuse my friendliness with flirtiness! You girls only have one thing in mind!"
