So I saw a 3 set of two guys and the target. B6.5-7 who as it turns out is not good enough for me lol. I approach to open when to my surprise she opens me. "Hey." It took me by surprise... I was like oh no what do I do what do I do? I continued like I do all sets: Ignore and neg the target. DHV with the obstacles and gain social proof right in front of target. The problem is that I started ignoring the target and neg her while becoming friends with the obstacles but the target got REALLY upset. She ended up walking away with her head down lol I know I fucked that one up bad. Tips for next time?

Sounds like you were Negging a bit too hard and maybe even just throwing insults at her. Negs are supposed to be little cocky funny comments nothing too extreme. to be honest I only really neg if I get an IOD if not i don't even bother. Seems to work for me like 90% of the time.

You over-negged her. In MM, it says HB7s will react different than HB9 and 10s. The higher the rating, the more you have the neg. The lower their rating, the less negs you have to do. I've done this mistake too, and it takes practice to calibrate (granted, I do this when I'm drunk and everybody looks like HB10s to me, which is why from now on I go sarging sober, lol).

1) ALWAYS SMILE when you neg. It makes it seem more playful than insulting. From my experience, negs should somewhat make a girl laugh.
2) Lock her in with a prop. I've learned to wear hats and scarfs. When you are DHVing her friends and she looks like she wants to walk away, say "Hey, you look trustworthy, mind if you hold on to this?" and let her watch your backpack, your drink, etc. People have big egos, so she won't leave with your stuff because it'll mean that you were wrong about her being trustworthy.
3) If she gets pissed, say to her friends "hey guys, I think I may have ignored your little friend. Is it OK if I borrow her for two minutes?" Then isolate her, then say "hey, you know what? You and I can NEVER get along? You know why? Because we're too alike. We both have strong opinions on certain topics, and what happened right now will always happen if we ever hang out again, etc."
