Right I had a cute girl in the supermarket yesterday.. I thought I recognised her from being out and about. I was bored and pissing about on facebook earlier, when i noticed her photo pop up. Managed to find her profile.. now It wasn't my intention to do this at all... i wasnt fb stalking or anything like that

How do you approach something like this without sounding like a creep?!

Don't bring it up - I think it's really hard not to come off as a creep when the message you're trying to get across is "I just saw you randomly on facebook."

A slight variation on the "I thought I saw you" approach which I would much rather prefer is something like this:

*Approach her from behind/ side where you can't see much of her face.*

You: Alison! Good to see y--- ooh. *Smile, looking slightly surprised.*

-and go from there.


^ everyone's done this at some point or another and felt pretty embarrassed by it - so you've unconsciously built a little rapport with her right off the bat because she'll sympathize with you. The key is to move to playful and funny quickly rather than staying embarrassed and making the situation awkward.
