Ever been out to a bar and catch a hot girl showing her phone to another hot girl while laughing? Usually, but now always, this indicates there's a text message convo going on between girl and a guy and they are using each other to decipher a guy's intentions based on his messages to her.

Typically when I see this, I push on because I fail to see an opening.

However, 2 nights ago I came across this scene and tried something out...

Me: "Couldn't help but notice you showing your stylish friend your phone. I gather there's a conversation going on with one of my kind. Thankfully, you're in luck because I happen to be a text message psychologist."

Them: "haha... well... kinda... yeah... "

Me: "You probably couldn't afford my rates but I'm in a good mood so I'd be happy to lend you my services... what's the backstory?"

Hot girl 1: ".....ok, well there's this guy, and ... " blah blah blah

Me: "Hold on.. I have to read it for myself to interpret the meaning. show me"

Hot girl 1: hesitates for a brief second, scrolls to a section of the conversation, and passes me her phone while continuing with the backstory...

Me: as soon as she passes me her phone i put it in my pocket "Thanks!!!" I start to walk away for a second and come back.. "haha, just kidding... that's the new yawker in me... ok, let's see what we got here"

And I proceed to read the conversation... "hmmmmm"... "ahhhh"..... and come up with some BS to 'interpret' the guy's meaning. I hold onto the phone the entire time while giving her my thoughts (serious BS).

Now, having already complimented her friend, I turn to her and show her one of the lines and say

"Ok, when he says XXX... he really means YYY. don't you agree?"

Hot girl 2: "Yeah! That's exactly what I was saying!"

Sky's the limit from there. Works great as a lone wolf or with a wingman who can come in and clean up.
