I met this amazing girl at a party last week, we made out for about 15 mins and then I got her number and we've been texting each other ever since. I can tell that she's very interested because she says things like "I'm always free for you " and "we're hanging out for sure " and most of her texts contain smiley faces. So far so good! She just couldn't hang out this week due to final exams. No biggie.

Lately though, she's been taking a while to answer like today I asked her where she lived and surprisingly enough we both live in the same area! So I said "Must be a sign from god telling us to hang out soon!" and it's been 5 hours and she still didn't answer! I mean that's only the third time I talked about hanging out, but am I overdoing it a bit? I tried to spice it up a bit, you know, by not just keep asking "When are we hanging out?", but then I thought about it and what I said sounded kind of stupid. I'm also the type of guy to worry for nothing, but it's been long now and I'm wondering if maybe she got scared or something. Thanks for the advice!

Text should be used for logistical purposes only. Firstly to establish contact "hi this is my number" secondly to pass time and location details "I will be at this place at this time."

I have recently become a convert to the "less is more" school of thought when it comes to texting. You made out with her, then got her number. Call her for goodness sake, call her set up the date then use text to confirm time and location on the day.

Seems like in this case you have texted too much and she might be getting bored. Maybe try freezing her out for a week or so then calling her and see hat happens.

Also your "sign from heaven text" is needy as fuck. She should feel lucky to be in your life, but again this is why calling is so much better than texting.

Also if you have tried to hang out twice ad it's gone nowhere sonetimes it's best to just say "cool well when you want to hang let me know. " and don't message/call again until she makes a move.

Thanks for the advice and yes I think I will just call girls from now on, I've realized texting is abysmal and can ruin game! But I haven't tried to hang out with her twice, I just said "we gotta hang out soon" and she said "for sure after my exams " and then the second time she said "finished my 1st exam, 3 more to go" and I said "then you can hangout with me!" and she said "I will " and then the third time was the "message from god". So you're probably right about the comment being needy, but each time I wasn't directly asking her to hang out, I was just stating we should hang out soon. I only said that last comment because she finished her exams, so I thought it would be appropriate since she said she wanted to hangout at that point.

Also, I gave it some thought, her phone is probably just dead. I don't see why a comment like that, needy or not, would make her not respond at all. She would at least leave a short response like "yea" if she was getting annoyed, IMO. I'll see if she responds tomorrow. Thanks again.
