I think one of the hardest part is the perfect profile picture. Using things like the best face thing on OKCupid show that only about 50% would prefer me over the other guys, that is too low. Especially as I know that I would score better in a real life comparison.

What kind of photos yielded the best results for you ?

I've found okCupids advice in their blog re:pictures to be quite strong. Don't smile at the camera, Instead look away from the camera with some angle. Pictures of activities are good also. I don't recommend goofy/funny pictures, save the humor for your profile and your messages.

I have also read this blog. Funny that topless AB pictures for men are according to this blog quite successful, who would have though that ? It is like the Bloodhound Gang sings:"You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals"

They even mention it but there is a selection bias there. Most of the guys who show abs are good looking guys with good abs versus the average guy on the site. I'm not sure they normalized it well enough for overall star rating. I personally think it's better to not show it off. I am in good shape but I don't show it off, i'd rather save that for a day 2 where I can use it to much more powerful effect than just getting messages or getting responses, which can be done in other ways.

Yesterday I had the perfect idea how to improve my profile pic dramatically. My idea will kill two birds with one stone. The first step of this plan is to go outside to the nearest park or anywhere else with an interesting background. The next step is to just ask some of the HBs sitting or walking around there and ask them directly to help you with taking the perfect profile pic. The girls will be having fun taking pictures of you and you are able to game them.
Now the only thing missing is a funny routine to do get some NCs on the girls you are asking. I was thinking about to say something like "If I would have written you a message on a dating site with this picture, would you check out my profile ?" while checking out the pictures. If she will say yes I will hand her a prepared piece of paper with a standard online opener and just say something like:"You have got a new message".

What are your ideas about that ? Is there already something like the profile pictures routine ?

If you want a woman's opinion, the topless ab pics are pretty cheesy and make a guy look like a bit of a tool. There are ways to show that you have a good body without taking a bad seflie with your shirt off in your bathroom mirror. I've seen guys with pics of them at the beach or out playing tennis or running with a shirt off that look great because they are actually out DOING something and not posing like a vain gym junkie or Jersey Shore wannabe. I guess it all depends on what kind of girl you want to attract in the first place.
