A little background; My name is Jay and I'm from Northern Ohio. I just finished my freshman year in college and am currently home for the summer. Some of my hobbies are training brazilian jiu-jitsu, working out, amd modding my jeep.
Why I want to start learning PUA:
Man, I have no idea where to start here. I guess I should start back in high school. I had my small group of five or six friends that I was content with until my junior year came around and I started becoming more outgoing and breaking out of my shell. This was all due to new found confidence from getting in shape and no longer being the short pudgy kid anymore. I maanaged to find myself a girlfriend and that lasted until the end of my senior year. After that relationship ended, I was pretty down in the dumps and decided that once college came around everything would change again and it would be so easy to meet tons of people and that I would find my group of friends and have my choice of girls I wanted. This wasn't even close to the case. My first semester I pledged and joined a fraternity, thinking that it would help me branch out and meet people/girls. As it turns out, aside from all the brothers in the fraternity, I really didn't help me socially for squat. At parties and socials, I would stick to talking to my beothers or people I already knew. Even in class I stayed to myself and made very few friends. I had so much trouble branching out. Then second semester rolled around and I mustered up the courage to start talking to girls at parties and after class. Everytime, I struck out. So here I am, desperate to change and change my life.
Things I currently believe are going for me:
I'm a pretty decent looking guy with a good sense of style
I know how to talk to people pretty effectively and have never really froze up or got extremely nervous when talking to girls
I have a friend who is willing to try this with me
Thing I really need to work on and would like advice on:
Approaching
Building attraction
Having a stronger confidence
My biggest problem is going to be starting this whole thing though. Even as I'm making this thread, I have about a hundred thousand excuses running through my head giving me reasons not to do this. I have no idea how to overcome this.
Anyways, I'm here to learn and would love to hear from all of you, thanks for reading!

We could push you in but how would you be learning anything. Either you man up and dive in or you continue to pitter patter on the side lines. Personally for me it's not about being more social or more brave. It's about going for and getting what I want. I make no excuses. I go for what I want no matter what, I want my actions to be effective as possible.
