So anyway there's this really hot chick I've been flirting with, mostl over facebook. Here is the jist of the last few messages. After my last one, she hasn't replied in 2 weeks. I have her number, should i call? This actually happened once before, about 2 months ago. I called her to wish her on her Bday, and left a message. About 2 weeks later she called and we had a long chat, after she apologized.

Me: Hey, congrats on the New Job...when are u moving? I'm finishing up a paper right now, my Profs pushing to get it done by next week for a publishing dealine....
Her(next day): Thanks!. Yeah im moving up after break, im really excited. You have to come up and visit me then!. Anyway i'm sure your gonna finish your paper and win some award! good luck! Let me kno how it goes.

Me(2 days later): Haha...didn't finish and now my advisors gonna eat me alive. I think its ok, thgouh he's a cool guy. So from what i understand your gonna be ........

her(2 days later):hahaha, yeah im going to be (something funny), no no..really im workin in the corporate office. Im just excited about being able to spend my own money for once. what are u doing for new years?

me(nxt day): awesome, (something funny about the office...)Yeah ive just been sleeping since I got back. No plans for new years yet, what u up to?

Her(2 weeks lateR): oh wow, i thought i responded and u were the mean one:(, turns out it was me!
yeah i'm just starting work. I was able to buy my parents gifst for once, which was nice. btw I'm gonna go to .... for ny's with some friends, please come!

me(dec 28th): Hey, np. Im actually on a cruise with my parents, won't be back for new years....but .....should be awesome. have fun! I'm going skiing next week if you wanna come though.

I'd say that inviting her skiing, was too far in advance, you don't really have comfort or attraction yet. Mentioning skiing would have been a DHV, but inviting someone who youve not met (as far as I can tell) on holiday negates that, sounds harsh but it seems "desperate". Wouldve been fine if you had a decent amount of attraction and comfort though.

I wouldnt ring her, but a message to let her know your back and had a good time might be ok, but only if you have to.

You're doing no leading here in the converstion it rather boring and pointless talk
it takes her weeks to respond means to your messages means you're not important to her she's just a girl one girl at that.

Sorry i didn't give more background. I actually have met her a few times. I think there is a decent level of comfort...not good at reading attraction, but I would guess thats there a bit too.

I think was ok to invite her skiing...its not out of the blue, she told me she wanted me to teach her before. And its not like a weekend or anything, just a day trip. Plus she did ask me to go with her to vegas a while back...couldn't go since I was busy with school.

Anyway yeah I don't want to look 'needy,' but I'm definately interested. I have a conference next week in the city where she lives, i guess I'll call her up when i'm in town and see what happens.

Maybe she's just scared of going skiing or abit pissed you could'nt make it on new years?
