I met this girl on holiday a few months ago. She was totally up for a f-close, but I was too drunk to get to the beach. HB8. I'm thinking I should go down and see her at some point (lives 1 hour away) and close the deal but she's noticing a change in me since I started using this kind of mentality. I don't think I would've managed to close without the mentality as I fell in the trap of being a nice guy far too much which made logical sense, I was the 'nice guy' generally, but she still wanted to meet me again. Here's some highlights of our MSN conversations and her reactions:

At first I teased her about her age and how young she was, I told her she was in my wrong MSN category (You group people on your MSN list, you can edit and create the names for groups) and how it'll be illegal. I said it like 'Oh my god, I didn't know you was that young, you're in the wrong category' ect. She kept asking me what category she was in (I could tell it was driving her crazy not knowing, so she asked "oii.. plz tel me wt catagory i was inn xx" about 5 times) but I didn't give in. I said stuff like I'll tell you when you're older, it's for your own good, I'm protecting you and you'll thank me when you're older ect...

I then didn't have any decent answer (I can't exactly say I'm adopting a new pick up mentality, can I now?) so I fobbed her off with an obvious excuse, but I always leave my computer on, she comes at me with:

HB8: fyn then fuk off, of u can onli fink of sum shitty excuse lyk that then u obviousli dnt wana tlk 2 me so piff of n b nasty 2 sum1 else, wtf happned 2 yuu . wteva it is i dnt lyk it!

Have I broken a rule here by speaking to a girl I knew before I started the PUA stuff? I haven't spoken to her for about 2 months, quite a long time for people to change. I didn't know what to say when she knew I was different, does anyone know how to counter that? I think she has LSE and so whereas normally I would complement her a lot and ask her about her life and other boring shit I don't bleeding care about, it would expand her ego and raise her self esteem a little.

Through most of the conversation I was bursting out laughing, especially at her reactions, so I'm not taking this seriously. I'm quite glad that she noticed a change to be honest. That was also the best MSN conversation I've had with her as I felt in total control of the frame for the most part.

What do you guys think about what I've done, and about how I can fix this, if it's fixable?

Well, to me at least it seems like she actually liked the old you, and doesnt like the "new" teasing version of you. Id just revert back to being a slightly improved version of your old self. Confident, but not just cocky. Its about calibrating, isnt it. So calibrate back to what she wants, if you want her. Not back to AFC, but just finetune it to keep her on her toes.

You can obviously still save this. Just go "hey!" and be likeable. Ask open-ended questions, relate, reward, SOI, stop the negging/DHVing, keep the frame.

Id personally just get her a Spelling for Dummies book for her birthday, cause that stuff... is HORRIBLE to read. And makes her seem dumber than she probably is.

cut back on the cocky and stick with the funny, cut back on the negs too.

Yeah, sometimes you can overneg, especially if she's an 8 or less w/ LSE. Just be cool, but don't bust on her too much. Old self, don't take her crap, and start talking bout her favorite subject... HER! The more she talks about herself, the more you have to work with, the more you can collect yourself, and the more she enjoys the convo.

You were on the right track, but you crossed the line. The key with this stuff is riding right on the line and keeping it fun. It's all a balancing act, and it's easy to get carried away when you build momentum. You teased her a couple times, and she was playful with you and into it, but you started taking it a bit too far. You moved from fun to mean. Keep it fun and playful; don't take it too far.

She started thinking your serious rather than cocky/funny and she blew up!

I now notice I had the following problems:

1. WAY too much negging/cocky funny, I relied on it too much
2. I was doing it to get a reaction out of her and she realised this, it therefore didn't do what was intended
3. cocky funny is harder over the internet as I can't use facial expressions or read hers, so I really did go overboard

I would've been a lot better if I would've spaced a lot of it out with more content flowing which she could invest in.
