Another AFC in his mid-20s who managed to burn out on serious relationships in medical school. Now I am in my last year and I realize that after having my nose in a book for two years I kind of lost whatever game I had.

I was always the kind of guy who would idealize women in general. Well I'm done with that. There will be years before I can get into a relationship, and it's time for a very different approach.

I'm moving from a college town to NYC (Manhattan) for the summer months. I plan on being prepared.

Pros: Reasonably cute, good sense of humor, flat stomach, good physical shape with wide shoulders, wild brown hair girls seem to like, blue eyes, comfortable talking to girls, medical student,

Liabilities: A bit short (5' 6.5''), voice is not very deep, I'm shy unless I'm drinking, I have difficulty connecting to guys for reasons I don't quite get- which means wings are hard to keep. Also I am going into Urology, which not only means I'll be working with penises everyday, but for the next 5 years 93% of my colleagues will be male. I can only meet girls out in the real world & I'm not sure how to "create value" with that skill set. (Of course if I was gay, that would pretty much be the jackpot.) Also girls find me... difficult to physically accommodate in bed unless they are somewhat experienced. (Which is great for my ego, but does me no good talking to a stranger).

I'm trying to come up with an angle for the whole med student-slash- new doctor thing, but it is harder than people might think. I'm very open to any ideas.

I would tell every single girl that you are gay. Automatic false disqualifier. Women want what they can't have. Escalate. and when they call you out on being gay... Tell them how you look at dicks all day ;)

Good luck bro. Welcome to the community.

That is hilarious, I had not thought of that. That will be a conversation no girl has ever had before. I am thinking I might start talking about fertility medicine, because there are some interesting angles there; for example (and this is true) a lot of guys who are "infertile" just don't know what they are doing with their wives physically. So you can imagine what kind of role the physician would play there. (In the old days, physicians would have "sessions" with eager women who couldn't conceive, sadly those days are gone. Or at least you don't get to bill insurance any more  )

So, I'll try to provoke her into thinking I'm some kind of medical sex guru- without saying something explicitly (because I cannot think of a way to say that without it sounding weird).

Damn! I did not expect success that fast. :o The first night of real game, after I got the hang of it and got a couple girls' numbers- well, I'm getting a lodge on the lake and entertaining one of them this weekend, on the 4th day after I met her at an out of town bar. I love grad students. I especially love grad students with curly blonde hair, cute smile, and DD's.
