I am an AFC on vacation right now. There are parties every night on the beach with tons of people drinking and smoking. Everyone's having a good time laughing and hooking up. I however lost my confidence over the past couple years and now am a total pussy when it comes to talking to girls even when I don't care about rejection. Tomorrow is my last night and I would love to head down to the beach with confidence and motivation to at least introduce myself to a few girls; hooking up doesn't matter. By the way I have plenty of knowledge regarding openers, keeping attention, etc. Its just I lack the the confidence to put it into action. Any advice or motivational input?

No one can help you but you. It might seem trite but you are the master of your destiny. Think of it this way, if you do nothing then why did you even go? If you did nothing and failed miserably, humiliating, total disgrace what did you actually lose? Nothing less than when you went.

There is nothing harder in life than putting yourself out there (I know I jumped out of airplanes and I'm afraid of heights). Everyone says 'be yourself' but who are you?

Everyone has advise, including me, and I am in the same boat as you. The best success I had was when I didn't worry about anything, just TRY to let go and be the guy that your friends like.

I thought about your situation a little further, I think you may need to concentrate on the males for openers. Guys are really open to other guys who engage them. It's a vaca scene so they have no inhibitions regarding an "interloper" if they develop a relationship, however how tenuous. Try to break in to a three set and other sets of guys in a friendly manner before the night time party. You don't need to be their "bosom" buddy just friendly enough that when you bust into their set they aren't threatened because you are "cool". And as a bonus you gain DHV with guys who accept you into their circle.

Take a walk on the beach. Walk up to some girls or a girl who's alone. As an ice breaker, introduce yourself with a corny line for example: "Hi my name is "so and so". I'm a [SIGN] and I like taking long walks on the beach. And then start laughing. If they have a sense of humor, they'll laugh too (especially if they saw the distance you walked before you approached). If they don't have a sense of humor and kinda shrug you off, find another group with a sense of humor.

Stop looking to be accepted by one group. Girls are fun when they like you back. No matter what you say to a girl, if she likes you, she'll play along. If she doesn't like you, you'll have to either leave or try harder. You're not trying to get married so don't stress over one girl.
