Sitting on a public bench, I sat right next to her. Noticed her flipping her hair. Started talking to her with no hesitation. Turns out she's only in the city for the weekend and lives in Cali. Told me about her job, she travels here there, this and that. Here is where I wasn't on point...I asked what she's doing right now, she said nothing, probably getting something to eat and going back to the hotel....the ideal thing would have been to say, let's go grab a couple of drinks and lead her....A couple of minutes later, she says it was very nice talking to you, my name is ****. I said why don't you give me your number and we can do something while your in town. She tells me she has a BF and I let it go. It was only then that I saw the a** she had on her awwww.

Lessons:

1) Should have casually got her number midway through the conversation. And I would have been in a much better position to respond to the BF statement.

2) Should have proposed we grab a drink spontaneously there and then.

3) Should have countered the BF statement.

She was on the bench, felt like talking to her and I did. Rapport good. Comfort good. Need to step up on the attraction, escalation, and close. Guess I was just too damn relaxed on the park bench.
